PARK CITY, UT, UNITED STATES – JUNE 15, 2023 – Embross USA Inc., a global leader in passenger self-service technology, today announced it has deployed Embross’ VelocityOne (V1) outdoor rated kiosks at Providenciales International Airport, on the island of Providenciales in the Caicos Islands. Embross will provide TCIAA with its leading FASTag application, QR mobile control, Spectrum analytics and kiosk management solutions, along with an opportunity for further improvement and optimization of internal processes, allowing passengers in the very near future to evaluate a new approach to travel planning.

As part of an ongoing project, Embross has been deploying multiple state-of-the-art kiosks along with custom Embross software at Providenciales International Airport, to provide a faster and seamless experience for travellers. The V1’s extensive array of component options, print capacity and modular expandability will deliver long-life cycle utilization to meet current as well as future needs as passenger service automation throughout the region is on the rise. The V1 outdoor kiosks provide temperature/ humidity control, high bright touchscreen, waterproof enclosure and devices, and are equipped to withstand extreme weather conditions.

This welcome deployment will see the V1’s deployed in the departure area to assist passengers with their self-service check in requirements including seat assignments, boarding pass printing, baggage tag printing and more while cutting their check in time and reducing passenger queues drastically. Embross is the only outdoor CUSS kiosk provider on the market, additionally selected by Providenciales International Airport because of its one-of-a kind/unique slimline footprint, modern attractive design, passenger friendly functionality and intuitive next generation technology.

Enhanced Passenger Experience
Embross’ outdoor kiosks are part of TCIAAs roadmap to allow airlines to automate the check-in process. The objective is to standardize and speed-up the check-in process for different airlines and at the same time take into account their different requirements. 

Embross’ focus on the market in Turks & Caicos
According to Turks & Caicos Tourism, the Turks and Caicos Islands Tourist Board states the industry is poised for a full recovery given the major increase in visitor arrivals. The figures, as a close approximation in the measurement of the destination’s tourist arrivals during the beginning of 2022, the Turks and Caicos Islands saw an average increase of approximately 33% in stopover arrivals through Providenciales International Airport. With the latest deployment, Embross goes one step further in its internationalization strategy.
