Alitalia and Embross have partnered to deliver next generation self-service bag drop at Terminal 1 at Rome Fiumicino Airport.

The first project stage saw Embross deliver 10 new automated self bag drop units with new self service bag drop application as well as 40 new self service kiosks.

The Alitalia self bag drop stations incorporate the latest in fully automated technologies including; bag dimensioning and size detection, baggage weighing, intrusion detection, baggage imaging, baggage receipt, multi-bag induction, automated barcode scanning and more.

The 40 T-series kiosks deployment represents almost 2,000 successfully deployed T series which follows the almost 5,000 deployments of its predecessor the N series.

The Alitalia T-series kiosk deliver the most progressive self service kiosk capabilities including boarding pass and bag tag printing, ancillary purchases such as additional and excess baggage, cabin upgrades, fast track security passes as well as lounge pass printing.
